An Island of Dreams

You took me there
to my island of dreams
where anything is possible
and nothing as it seems

The trip was so bountiful
with much more than you think
I went with eyes wide open
so much, I was afraid to blink

Knowing that this journey
had time ticking away
You remember how I hestitated
because I could not stay

But the island held a wish
and even had my name
though it’s sand ran thru so quickly
you have only me to blame
