A Perfect World

I once was asked
To describe a perfect world.
I sat and thought
My mind all awhirl.
Flowers forever in bloom
And blue skies came to mind
Chocolate covered anything
(whatever I could find)
Kitty cats and puppy dogs
And little kids galore
Showers on a summer day
Who could ask for more?
Fireflies and butterflies
And crickets in the night
Sitting in a lily field
Watching ladybugs take flight
I could go on and on all day
About things that I find true

But this world was far from perfect
'til the day that I met you.
