By The Seashore

Walks on the beach
Salt in the air
Sun shining brightly
The wind in your hair
Gathering treasures

Searching the shore
Finding seashells and
Looking for more
Holding your hand

A smile on my face
No where on earth
Is there a better place
Magical sunset

Beautiful skies
Holding your hand
Looking in your eyes
Strolling along

With you by my side
My best friend,
Companion, and guide
Walking with you

By the seashore
Times like these
Are what i long for

All About You

In a world of darkness,
You are my light.
Blinded by ignorance,
You are my sight.
When I am sad,
You are my cheer.
The love that you give,
Will remain ever dear.

In a world of confusion,
You are my thought.
A love like yours,
My heart always sought.
Alone without you could be my end,
Across the miles my love i shall send.

You are my strength,
When I am too weak.
You're like a lion,
When I am too meek.

You bring out the better half of my soul,
To be without you would take it's toll.
And thus as I reflect upon you,
I know that I've found a love that is true.

Accept Me As I Am

I am the defiant one
Who beats her own drum,
I dance within the moonlight
And play beneath the sun.
I conform to no one's rules

I am a woman of my own,
Before I'd bend beneath your will
I'll learn to stand alone.
My heart is my own

I give you no control,
I am who I am
And I am a woman whole.
I toss aside your claims

That I belong to you,
For I belong unto myself
To my own self I'll be true.
I am a woman strong and proud

I live by a moral code,
Internal strength my victory
I can shoulder any load.
I allow no one to own me

I'm not some prize to be won,
I stand firm in my convictions
When each day is done.
This life I live is mine

To share with whom I choose,
Never try to change me
For I'm not a pair of shoes.
And if I give my love to you

I'll come just as I am,
You can't lead my soul to slaughter
Like some meek and gentle lamb.
I am just who I am

Accept just what you see,
I have a world of love to give
If you can love just me.
Don't compare me to another

I'm not some clay for you to mold,
Don't put a chain upon my spirit
For it's not yours to hold.
Inside I am beautiful

Let my spirit fly free,
It will forever be with yours
If you can accept just me.
